Robin Thicke - " Sex Therapy: The Experience"

Robin Thicke has never been much of a "singer" to me. He barely sings above a slight whisper, but I can can dig that he's stays in his register.

"Mrs. Sexy " is a smooth groove, I like the production more than I actually like the lyrics and singing. Of course as im sure most of you agree " Sexy Therapy" is a crazy track, def made the #PantyDropper list.  Not a fan of "Meiple'" at all. Don't really know what angle they were going with on that track but wasn't diggin' it.

I got a good groove out of "It's In The Morning" Ft Snoop, nice chilled collab. A feature that wasn't too appealing was "Shakin' It 4 Daddy" ft Nicki Minaj. Don't like this type of Robin Thicke, this element doesn't fit him well.
The Kid Cudi featured track sounds like it would have fit more on his album than this one. "Start With A Kiss" sounds like elevator music. "Rollacoasta" Ft Estelle sounds like it will soon be apart of the soundtrack you'd hear in Abercrombie & Fitch or Express. Jazmine Sullivan provides some very faint but good background vocals in "Million Dolla Baby". Downside to this album is that there's Too many random Hip/Hop collabs. Seems like with this project Robin did a lot of experimenting with different sounds. Didn't work out too well in my opinion.I think track placement counts a lot for an album and the cohesive flow was all off, thankfully towards the tail end of the album it got slightly better.

Stand Out Tracks : "2 Luv Birds", Sex Therapy", "Jus Right"

On The Groove Scale...it registers a ...eh....5 ... Ok maybe  5.5 just off the strength that I really like "Sex Therapy".

  1. Omg, Im in Love with this Album. Of course the Two Singles are on Point. But the rest of the Album is definitely hitting for something. It Starts with A Kiss, straight elevator music actually alot of the Album is but I like it. He definitely has talent.
